Background

In 2021 Moleskine Foundation launched the Creativity Pioneers Fund, a collaborative philanthropic fund aiming at supporting cultural and creative organizations historically operating in underserved and marginalized communities through funding, learning opportunities, storytelling and viability, network building. In the two first editions of the Fund, the Foundation received about 1,200 applications from 90 countries all over the world. Over the next 3 years, the Fund will seek to build to scale, to reach about 5,000 applications and directly support 250 and put in-network organizations that operate under the mission of Creativity for Social Change.
These terms of reference relates to further analysis of quantitative and qualitative data related to the Creativity Pioneers Fund applicants and grantees, and support to the Moleskine Foundation team for future research in this area, through desk-based research and interviews.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • The aim of this research is to support and strengthen data analysis to:
  • Map the results of the first 2 editions of the Fund through qualitative and quantitative analysis in order to build storytelling related to the Creativity Pioneers and produce a final report;
  • Clean and reorganize the dataset and the information available through the internal software used (Optimy) and upload the records of the 2021 edition;
  • Identify the most relevant areas of information, from the perspective of the launch of the 2023 open call – and potential editing of the application format.

TIMEFRAME

  • This work will be undertaken to start from January and can be delivered flexibly according to the time the researcher has available. The actual weekly hours to allocate can be further discussed together.

REQUIREMENTS

  • be fluent in English
  • have strong analytical skills
  • be curious and have a proactive attitude
  • be genuinely interested in the cultural and creative field
  • possess good skills in managing Excel and IT tools
  • possess good writing skills
