Creativity Pioneers Fund

Established in 2021 by the Moleskine Foundation, the Creativity Pioneers Fund is a collaborative philanthropic initiative that brings together foundations and brands to support Creativity Pioneers, non-profit organisations around the world addressing social and environmental issues through creativity and culture. Since its inception, the Fund has brought together more than 30 institutions donating their resources, time, and experience to the initiative.

The Creativity Pioneers are changemakers who merge the heart and mind, combine poetry with pragmatism, bringing awareness to critical social issues, inspiring action, and driving lasting impact.

Since its establishment, the Fund has supported more than 250 Creativity Pioneers representing 60 countries from all over the world, building trust-based relationships and investing in their radical imaginations.

In the hands of the Creativity Pioneers, creativity and culture are drivers of human and economic development, social transformation, and often overlooked tools for addressing some of the great global challenges of our time.

The Creativity Pioneers, amongst many efforts, support the rebuilding of war-torn societies, restore a sense of self to young people coming of age under unimaginable circumstances, provide new ways of living that address climate change, and bridge inequalities.

The Fund functions as a strategic ecosystem enabler and a catalytic infrastructure, empowering creative changemakers with resources, relationships, and visibility. By embedding storytelling, peer-learning, leadership development and strategic convening into its architecture, the Fund supports long-term organisational resilience and amplifies creativity’s role in addressing societal challenges.

The Fund supports the transformative work of the Creativity Pioneers by contributing to their sustainability and strengthening their long-term capabilities. Beyond economic resources, the Fund also fosters collaboration amongst the Creativity Pioneers through a platform model, where all the partners act as ecosystem builders with the Creativity Pioneers at the centre.

THE LAW OF CREATIVITY

In delving into the ‘Law of Creativity’ through the three concepts of decanonisation, alchemy, and wisdom, our aim is to bring clarity to a concept often misunderstood and undervalued: creativity for social change. With this edition of Folios, we aspire to shift the perception of creativity away from being merely“cute” to recognising its indispensable role.
